Brotherhood Mission Ministries A Faith-Based Organization

Too many Americans are homeless, hungry, or hurting. Some struggle to get off of welfare or drugs or both. Others are seniors who can’t make it on their own, or children with parents in prison. In every corner of America, there are people of all ages in need of help.

Faith-based and community groups are the unsung heroes in helping Americans in need. Their compassionate care and neighborly love turn lives around and provide hope where it has been missing. These groups do not provide care because they have to, but because they want to. The vast majority of America’s homeless shelters are operated by faith-based organizations. Brotherhood Mission has been feeding, housing and clothing homeless men for ninety-eight years. Guided by certified addiction counselors, ordained ministers and most importantly, each other, men are empowered to achieve personal growth and begin a new start in developing long-lasting sobriety. Our programs serve men of all religious affiliations, and we encourage each man to draw strength from his higher power, whoever that may be.

Over the past year, Brotherhood Mission Ministries provided emergency and transitional housing to 75 to 100 men per night, prepared 82,125 meals, and distributed 205,266 pieces of donated clothing and 118,805 pounds of perishable food to North Philadelphia residents. Brotherhood Mission has never turned a single person away in 98 years.
