Volunteer Opportunities
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens
can change the world; indeed it is the only thing that ever has.

VOLUNTEERS
We are blessed to have a number of dedicated individuals,
churches, civic groups and companies that give the greatest gift
possible -- their volunteer service. Volunteer opportunities at
Brotherhood Mission are plentiful and varied. Whether preparing and
serving meals, becoming a special event planner, sorting donations,
answering the telephone, addressing envelopes, picking-up donations,
helping clients with resumes, repairing a plumbing fixture or teaching
adult literacy -- volunteers play a vital role in the Brotherhood
Mission's life saving work.
SPECIAL EVENT VOLUNTEERS
Special Event volunteers are needed to help with Brotherhood
Mission’s Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas Dinner, “Walk Against Hunger”
Campaign, November Awards Banquet, Pastor’s Basketball Tournament,
Back-to-School Bag Drive and The Women’s Auxiliary Fashion Show. Please
consider that giving just a few hours to help run a special event will
not only make an impact in the success of that event but also to our
overall fund-raising accomplishments.
STARTING AN AUXILARY
Brotherhood Mission would like to start an auxiliary to help
with fundraising events. There are many other special events the Mission
would love to begin but in order to do that we must recruit more
volunteers.
BUILDING RENOVATION VOLUNTEERS
Brotherhood Mission’s building was constructed around 1890 and
it is in dire need of repair and renovation. We desperately need
tradesmen with specialized skills such as: electricians, general
contractors, plumbers and painters to help create a better living
environment for our residents.
GROUP VOLUNTEERS
Schools, businesses and other groups can volunteer together in
activities such as preparing and/or serving holiday meals, hosting
recreational events, sorting donations, planning and implementing a
special event, organizing food drives, or whatever your group is
interested in to support the work of Brotherhood Mission. This can be a
fun team building project for corporate groups.
